And I don’t blame them.

The media runs a wild story about how [insert investment] is about to nosedive.
And 3 hours later you’ve got clients on the phone panicking.
Why?
Because even though it might not be true…
Storytelling is a powerful tool.
And simply telling your client to:
→ Relax
→ Trust me
→ Sit tight and wait
Won’t calm them much.
The narrative has already taken hold.
But there is one thing that will…
You need build a counter-narrative before the next media onslaught.
It’s your own story to:
→ Narrates their personal journey
→ Show how they fit in to the world
→ Explain why the media noise doesn’t impact them
Then when the media runs another overblown or false story.
Your narrative shoots it down, and your clients panic less.
But remember…
The media has a 24-hour news cycle.
So they’re more visible.
Which is why it’s so important that you communicate with your clients regularly.
The more you communicate.

↳ Listen to your advice
↳ And stop worrying
